It is well known that insecure people lack confidence and are uncertain about their own abilities and about whether other people really like them.  I’m afraid I cannot think whose idea was yesterday’s fuck-up which dealt, as I’m sure you realize, a severe blow to your credibility.   I hope it wasn’t yours.  Not that being manipulated like this, is something one can let easily pass.

I wonder what it was about your upbringing that made you so insecure.  Still, you should try dealing with all the insecurities you face or feel, unless you wouldn’t mind make a fool of yourself or become a public joke, which is - believe me - even worse.
